When you seek care at our office, you are assured that Dr. Yoo and her team will utilize the latest in dental technology to enhance the quality and fit of your dental care.

VacuaSonic System

‘VacuaSonic System’ is an ultra-high tech equipment that process  patient’s extracted teeth into an ‘autogenous tooth bone graft’ after extraction at the clinic. All of these process are possible within just 30 minutes! A rapid demineralization after tooth extraction maintains the proper amount of minerals and to minimize effective protein loss.

  • Patient’s own tooth is processed into a bone graft on site immediately after extraction in a safe and reliable manner.
  • Vacuum and Ultrasonic waves are combined for maximum demineralization of teeth for bone grafting.
  • The process of making an extracted tooth into bone graft takes only 30 minutes for powder type and 2 hours for block type. It enables same day extraction and implant.
  • It can prevent patient’s leakage to other hospitals because the patient’s customized graft material can be used immediately after tooth extraction.

As patient’s own tooth is used…

  • No human body rejecting reaction
  • No genetic and infectious diseases
  • Superior in biocompatibility
  • Fast healing
  • Contains large amount of effective protein which helps bone formation

Medit Intraoral 3D Scanner

Intraoral dental 3D scanners are small handheld scanners that go directly into the patient’s mouth to examine the inside as well as to scan the teeth directly. They are significantly faster than impressions as the scans can be processed immediately, meaning they can be used to skip the impression stage. To help understand the options available to users, we have compiled a list of the available intraoral 3D scanners on the market in alphabetical order.

The Medit Intraoral Scanner system produces 3D scans for use in computer-assisted design and manufacturing of dental restorations. Medit Intranoral Scanner is notable for its easy operation as well as its intelligent scan (a self-developed scanning software that integrates rich data processing functions for higher-quality digital impression) and realistic color. Additionally, it is powderless, meaning that there is a simplified process and improved patience experience. Data optimization is the main draw for this intraoral scanner, with AI helping to identify and delete extraneous data.

Dr. Yoo carefully decides when and which radiographs are taken. There are many guidelines that we follow. Radiographs allow us to see everything we cannot see with our own eyes. Not only does it enable us to detect cavities in between your teeth, it additionally helps us with determining bone levels and analyzing the general health of your bones. We can also examine the roots and nerves of your teeth, diagnose lesions such as cysts or tumors, and as well as assessing for damage when some form of trauma is evident.

Dental radiographs are invaluable aids in diagnosing, treating, and maintaining dental health. Exposure time for dental radiographs is extremely minimal. Dr. Yoo utilizes our digital imaging technologies available in the office. With digital imaging, exposure time is about 50% less than traditional radiographs. Digital MPR-Full-screen2imaging can also help us retrieve valuable diagnostic information. We may be able to see cavities better.

Digital imaging allows us to store patient images and enables us to quickly and easily transfer them to specialists or insurance companies when necessary.

Digital X-rays offer more precision since we view the image on a computer monitor instead of holding up a 35mm film up to the light. Digital X-rays result in 1/6th of the radiation exposure to you.

3D X-Ray

We are equipped with one of the most advanced and powerful 3D X-Ray. With Vatech’s i3D Smart, we can see the finest details in any angle necessary. we can also take panoramic and 3D images together. Taking and viewing 2D and 3D images together provides many benefits. We can precisely assess patients’ condition and consequently come up with the most optimal treatment plan. This layout also helps patients better understand the images and proceed to a treatment with more confidence.

Centrifuge

The Silfradent Medifuge MF200 is a dedicated medical plasma blood separator. It is designed to prepare autologous concentrated growth factor (CGF) and CD 34 + cells using patient’s own blood which is the ideal autologous source without the addition of exogenous substances. CGF represents a new generation of platelet that able to hold inside a higher concentration of autologous.

Growth factors are proteins which regulate the complex processes of wound healing and enhance the body’s healing abilities without side-effects. The Medifuge prepares up to 8 test tubes of various levels of concentrate with active proteins in liquified or Fibrin form to create membranes, glue or other particulars for tissue regeneration and bone augmentation in a short period of 12 minutes.

These features, together with the simple and standardized centrifugation protocol MEDIFUGE, make the CGF a superior autologous product which can be used in different areas of regenerative surgery; for example in dentistry, maxillofacial surgery, cosmetic surgery and orthopaedics.

Precision Microscopes

Our practice uses highly precise and powerful microscopes to enhance the quality of our patient care. Dentistry is micro-surgery. Using a microscope that is similar to one an ophthalmologist uses enables us to create dental restorations with an incredibly precise fit and finish.

Phillips Zoom WhiteSpeed

Philips Zoom WhiteSpeed, the No.1 patient-requested professional whitening brand, is clinically proven to whiten teeth up to eight shades in 45 minutes. With clinically superior results and efficacy versus other professional whitening alternatives, Zoom WhiteSpeed is one of the fastest ways to create brighter, healthier smiles that patients will want to show off. When combined with the pH booster in the whitening gel, WhiteSpeed’s advanced blue LED light-activated technology greatly accelerates the whitening process, delivering dramatic results you will love in just one office visit.

Laser

Laser dentistry is one of dentistry’s latest advances. The laser delivers energy in the form of light. Depending on the intended result, this energy travels at different wavelengths and is absorbed by a “target.” In dentistry, these targets can be enamel, decay, gum tissue, or whitening enhancers. Each one absorbs a different wavelength of light while reflecting others. Laser dentistry can be used for both tooth and soft tissue related procedures.

Areas of dental care that benefit from laser technology:

  • Periodontal, or gum related, care
  • Apthous Ulcer treatment (canker sore)
  • Frenectomy (tongue-tie release) without anesthesia or sutures
  • Crown lengthening, gingivectomy and other gum corrections

Dental lasers have been shown to be safe and effective for treating both children and adults.

Intraoral Camera

Dr. Yoo utilizes intraoral camera technology that helps enhance your understanding of your diagnosis. An intraoral camera is a very small camera – in some cases, just a few millimeters long. An intraoral camera allows our practice to view clear, precise images of your mouth, teeth and gums, in order for us to accurately make a diagnosis. With clear, defined, enlarged images, you see details that may be missed by standard mirror examinations. This can mean faster diagnosis with less chair-time for you!

Intra oral cameras also enable our practice to save your images in our office computer to provide a permanent record of treatments. These images can be printed for you, other specialists, and your lab or insurance companies.

Dexis CariVu
